Jiangxi Normal University is one of the first universities in China to be authorized to confer bachelor's and master's degrees. It grants doctoral degrees as well. It has six ESI globally top 1% disciplines (chemistry, materials science, engineering, agricultural sciences, environmental/ecological science, and social sciences) and five Jiangxi provincial first-class disciplines (Marxist theory, chemistry, education, Chinese language and literature, and geography). The university offers 15 doctoral programs, including 14 first-level disciplines and 1 professional doctoral program (educational doctorate). It also has seven postdoctoral research stations, 30 first-level master's degree programs, and 22 master's professional degree programs. In national academic discipline evaluation, Marxism Theory has entered the A-category ranking, while Education, Psychology, Chinese Language and Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, and Music and Dance have entered the B-category ranking.
